Banana compote recipe in Surakarta

It is the most popular food of the fasting month. When we prevent thirst and hunger throughout the day, our stomach should eat light food first so that the stomach does not work immediately. Compote is the right choice. Besides having a sweet and fresh taste, the smell of pandan leaves is very pleasant. 

Of course, you can make compote anytime and anywhere. Apart from the readily available materials, the production process is also very simple and quick. Oh yes, you can change the ingredients according to taste. But from my experience of trying this or that mix, I personally believe that banana and jackfruit mix is ​​our family favorite. Hubby agrees too..... Hmm yummy!! 

 

Items: 

• 1 cassava or potato (200 g) 
• 2 bananas (peeled bananas if you have them) 
• 100 g of coconut sugar, comb 
• 100 g of sugar 
• 400ml coconut milk 
• 400 ml of water 
• 1 pandan leaf, beaten 
• 3 to 5 ripe jackfruits, cut into small pieces 
• ½ teaspoon of salt 

How to do it: 

1. Cut the sweet potato and cut it according to your taste.
2. Cut the kepok banana, cut it according to your taste. Heat water, brown sugar, granulated sugar, pandan leaves and sweet potatoes and cook until the sweet potatoes are cooked/soft.
3. Add coconut milk, banana slices and jackfruit. Add salt to taste.
4. Bring back to a boil over medium heat until the fruit is cooked, stirring. Make sure the banana and jackfruit are not soft.
5. Serve hot or cold. 

Banana compote is one of the most popular Indonesian food. Banana kolang is one of the dishes that people look forward to when they break fast. Apart from being satiating, the sweet taste can also instantly energize the body. 

Banana compote has a mixture of sweet and sour taste as it is made from a mixture of coconut milk and palm sugar. Although it is called banana kolak, not all bananas are suitable for making compote. The recommended type of banana is a ripe kepok banana. In addition to having a soft texture, this type of banana is also delicious. This banana compote can be served hot or cold.
